Assassin’s Creed Mirage Great Mosque Lost Book Location Guide

Announced at Ubisoft Forward on September 10, 2022, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the thirteenth installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. The action-adventure stealth game was released on October 5, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th-century Baghdad and follows the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, known from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Unlike its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Mirage features reduced RPG elements, focusing on parkour, close-quarter combat, and stealth gameplay.

Set decades before Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, AC Mirage allows players to help Basim evolve from a street thief to a Hidden One. While smaller in size, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a return to the AC series roots, allowing Basim to complete assassination missions throughout Baghdad, accompanied by his Eastern imperial eagle Enkidu. According to developers, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage main story takes 15-20 hours to complete, and it celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

The Great Mosque Lost Book is a collectible in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, found in the Quadrangle of the Persians district of the Harbiyah region. When you reach the location of the Lost Book near the Great Mosque, you’ll notice that both entrance doors are barred from the inside.

Fortunately, I’ve discovered a quick way to unlock the door to get the Lost Book as well as a Historical Site collectible.

Where To Find the Great Mosque Lost Book in AC Mirage

The Lost Book can be found in the Quadrangle of the Persians district in the Harbiyah region. It is situated in the same building as one of the thirteen Historical Sites (Kalila and Dimna), just southwest of the Great Mosque.

The Lost Book is in the Persians district of Harbiyah.

Now, let’s see how we can get inside the building and grab both collectibles.

How To Get the Lost Book Near Great Mosque

To access the building, make your way to the southwestern side. The door entrance is barred from the inside, but you can enter through an open window above near the small tree in the corner. Simply climb up the wall to reach it.

Go through the window above the barred door.

Once inside the room, go down the stairs and look through the metal bars. You will see a bright red pot that contains explosives on the left side of the room. Use a Throwing Knife to break the pot and initiate an explosion that will open the locked door.

To open the locked door, use a Throwing Knife to break the explosive pot.

Head back outside, go through the freshly opened door, and grab the Great Mosque Lost Book on the left called Kalila wa-Dimna, as well as the Historical Site on the right known as Kalila and Dimna.

Pick up the Lost Book off the table, near the Historical Site.
