Assassin’s Creed Mirage Wilderness Dervis’ Artifact Locations Guide

Announced at Ubisoft Forward on September 10, 2022, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the thirteenth installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. The action-adventure stealth game was released on October 5, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place in 9th-century Baghdad and follows the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq, known from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Unlike its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Mirage features reduced RPG elements, focusing on parkour, close-quarter combat, and stealth gameplay.

Set decades before Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, AC Mirage allows players to help Basim evolve from a street thief to a Hidden One. While smaller in size, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a return to the AC series roots, allowing Basim to complete assassination missions throughout Baghdad, accompanied by his Eastern imperial eagle Enkidu. According to developers, the Assassin’s Creed Mirage main story takes 15-20 hours to complete, and it celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Despite its size, the Wilderness region of Assassin’s Creed Mirage features only 3 Dervis’ Artifacts you must collect by pickpocketing specific NPCs, preferably without alerting them. The Assassin’s Creed Mirage Wilderness Dervis’ Artifacts, however, can be easily missed if you don’t know where to look for their owners; therefore, you may need help locating them.

Even though Enkidu can prove useful in finding the three Dervis’ Artifacts in the Wilderness region of AC Mirage, you have to remember that you are, in fact, looking for three people in the vast desert west of Baghdad. Luckily, unlike the Wilderness Mysterious Shards in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the NPCs you’ll have to steal the Artifacts from have fixed locations, and throughout the following guide, I’ll tell you where they are.

Before moving forward with the locations of these collectibles, it’s worth knowing that Dervis’ Artifacts require a bit of story progression. Specifically, you’ll need to complete the Nur’s Contact main quest and meet Dervis.

Furthermore, when pickpocketing a Dervis Artifact collectible in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you’ll notice the QTE (quick-time event) you must complete by pressing - GameClubz/- GameClubz on your PlayStation/Xbox controller is far more difficult because the time window is smaller. Since you don’t want to alert the possessor of the Artifact and all nearby guards, I recommend activating the Guaranteed Pickpocket option in the Main Menu/Options/Gameplay section.

This option removes the QTE completely, and you’ll get to pickpocket the civilians without alerting anyone. Now that you know what to do, here is where to find the three AC Mirage Dervis Artifacts in the Wilderness region.

Dervis Artifact #1 (Staurotheke): Southwest of Anbar Winter Palace

The first Wilderness Dervis Artifact in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is found in Anbar, the city where Basim’s story starts. Anbar is located on the northwestern side of the desert, in the upper left corner of your map. As you can see on my map below, the NPC carrying this Artifact is found southeast of the Winter Palace landmark.

The NPC sits next to a rather large tree, moving around it constantly. He has a fixed location, thus being an easy target for pickpocketing. Once you get the Artifact, I recommend obtaining the Anbar Ruined Tower Gear Chest.

Dervis Artifact #2 (Kissi Penny): East of the Excavation Site

After obtaining the first Artifact, you’ll want to travel south towards the Oasis Viewpoint. The Viewpoint is found southwest of Baghdad in the sub-region known as Wilderness West. After you synchronize the Viewpoint, further southwest, you’ll see a landmark named Excavation Site. East of this specific landmark is a small camp where you’ll find another citizen you must pickpocket to obtain the Kissi Penny.

Dervis Artifact #3 (Byzantine Bracelet): In Jarjaraya

The last Artifact in the Wilderness Region is in Jarjaraya, the small village southeast of Baghdad. As you can see on my map below, the NPC carrying the Artifact is on the western side of the town. Look for him in a small yard outside the city walls and quickly pickpocket him to obtain the Byzantine Bracelet.

Now that you have obtained the third and last Artifact, return to Dervis, who is waiting for you at the Dyeing Factory in Harbiyah District, and hand them over to progress his quest.
