Far Cry 6 GDP Oil Platform Blue Containers Chest or the GDP Oil Platform Yaran Contraband Chest is, unlike the FND Chest in the Server Room, you can also find on this platform, a bit trickier since Ubisoft’s devs added a small puzzle you’ll need to figure out. The Far Cry 6 GDP Oil Platform Yaran Contraband Chest is, however, far more important because it contains a Unique Weapon.

Specifically, one of the Unique Shotguns you’ll need to get in order to unlock the Armed to the Teeth achievement/trophy on PlayStation and Xbox. So, dealing with the blue containers on the Madrugada GDP Oil Platform is mandatory if you are a completionist.

GDP Oil Platform Blue Container Chest Location

The first two things we’ll cover are the locations of the GDP Oil Platform and the Yaran Chest. As you can observe on the map below, the GDP Oil Platform is found in the northwestern corner of the Madrugada Region.

You can get here by water if you want to remain unseen, then infiltrate the FND Base. Next, you’ll need to capture it by dealing with Castillo’s soldiers. For additional rewards, I suggest using one of the Unique Bows for a stealthy approach. Once the base is under Dani’s control, head to the top floor and look in the southeastern corner of the platform for several blue containers. You can see them below.

These specific blue containers have a Yaran Contraband Chest inside, along with other crafting materials. So, the obvious question here is how to get it or how to get inside the containers since, well, they are locked.

How To Get the GDP Oil Platform Blue Containers Yaran Chest

While standing near the containers above, look around to spot a zipline. Use it to get to the other side of the oil platform. Once you land, you’ll see a white office with a grenade painted on its exterior walls. Head inside this office, then turn left and read the note on the desk in front of you (pictured below).

This note is the Oil Transfer Procedure and gives you some hints on what you need to do next. If you can’t figure out what you have to do, the answer is simple. Push the red button on the console on the left side (also pictured).

Once you push this specific button, the containers start moving (you can see that through the window), and you can get inside. So, retrace your steps and claim the prize inside them, which is the Supercharger Unique Shotgun.
