Far Cry 6 The Mongoose And The Man Alvaro’s Stash Key Location

Alvaro’s Stash Key, or the key that opens Alvaro’s Gun Case, is an item you’ll need to retrieve as part of a Far Cry 6 Treasure Hunt named The Mongoose and the Man. It is one of the 21 Far Cry 6 Treasure Hunts available in the video game developed by Ubisoft and by far the funniest.

The Mongoose and the Man can be played upon reaching Madrugada, provided you know where to look for it. As you’ll see in the guide below, it involves a crazy mongoose named La Comadreja. So, below, we’ll go over this Treasure Hunt, and I’ll tell you everything you need to know about it, including how to open Alvaro’s Stash or where to find Alvaro’s Gun Case Key.

The first thing you’ll need to know is where to find this Treasure Hunt or how to start The Mongoose And The Man mission. As you can see on the map below, the starting location is in the small city named Siniestra. Siniestra is found on the western side of Costa Del Mar in Madrugada Province.

After you reach Siniestra, your next goal is to find the mission’s starting point, which is a note inside a red box. You can see it below, and behind it, you can also see a boat.

Read the note, and you’ll find out that the house you are going to explore belongs to Alvaro, who was tortured by La Comadreja. Just so you know, La Comadreja means Weasel, even though Alvaro’s problem involves a Mongoose, which is far more dangerous than a Weasel. And as you’re about to find out, it is ten times faster.

Where To Find Alvaro’s Stash

After you read the note, your next goal is to find Alvaro’s Stash. And to do so, you’ll need to enter his yard, so start by shooting the locker on the gate. Don’t worry because he is not home. Once inside the yard, enter the house and start looking around.

There are several materials you can loot from this place, as well as a Hidden Story Collectible (Art Scraps I), which is part of the Art & Death Set. You’ll find it on the table. What is more important, though, is Alvaro’s Stash or Chest, which you can see below. Notice that it’s by the window.

When you approach this chest, you’ll be prompted that you need a key. 

Alvaro’s Key Location

If you wonder where to find Alvaro’s Stash Key in Far Cry 6, the answer is simple. n the shed outside. The problem here is that in the same shed is the Mongoose named La Comadreja, and Alvaro locked the animal inside for obvious reasons.

So, opening the shed is the next step. To do so, head outside, and in the backyard, you’ll find a building made of bricks. While facing the door, on the right side, you’ll find the Shed Key (pictured).

Far Cry 6 Alvaro’s Shed Key is used to open the door nearby; however, before doing that, you may want to get ready for what is about to happen.

How To Kill La Comadreja

To kill La Comadreja and retrieve Alvaro’s Gun Case Key, before opening the door, you should:

• Equip Molotov Cocktails
• Equip a gun with a fast rate of fire (SMG or Assault Rifle)
• Use the fastest Amigo. For example, the K-9000 from the Season Pass, if you purchased it

Although La Comadreja won’t attack Dani, it is very fast, so try to set the animal on fire the moment you have a chance. Mark La Comadreja for your Amigo, and keep running after it. Also, you may notice that it follows a specific path around the village. Use this to your advantage and cut corners to get close to the Mongoose. nce you kill it, you will receive Alvaro’s Stash Key.

With the key in your inventory, head back to Alvaro’s Gun Case in his house. Open it, and you’ll unlock the Lethal Dose Pistol. It is one of the 49 Far Cry 6 Unique Weapons and one of the 6 Unique Pistols in the video game.

Now that you have finished this Treasure Hunt, head north to the Croc Farm to play the Crocodile Tears to find out what happened to Luis and the love of his life, Beatriz.
