The Graveyard area is one of the first Resident Evil 8 Village sections you’ll explore when you enter the Village; however, this area contains a series of items that require multiple visits at certain points in the game. If you’re looking to fully explore the Resident Evil Village Graveyard, then you’ll want to find all the hidden items listed below.

So let’s see what you can get from the Graveyard and how to use the items here; because from the Graveyard, you can get 2 Cooking Ingredients and one Key Item that will help you claim a Treasure.

Now, from the previous guide on how to find all Maiden of War items, you remember that the Graveyard is just north of the statue with the shield. This is basically a section that you’ll get to explore when you head toward the Church (don’t miss the hidden items inside) and then when you enter Castle Dimitrescu (where more items await). The moment you exit the Maiden of War section, your search begins.

Goats Of Warding Placard & Collectibles

As you move up the small hill towards the Village’s Church, on the right side of the dirt road, you’ll see an interesting shrine like the one below. These are two collectibles you are not allowed to miss. First, read the “Goats of Warding” Placard, which opens a file in your journal. Now, in the shrine (altar), you’ll see a wooden Goat of Warding. Make sure you shoot it.

Herb

The next item you want to find during your very first visit here is a Herb. From your previous location, head up the hill in front of you, and you’ll find an outer gate that requires the Maiden Crest and the Demon Crest. Both crests are obtained via the story. While facing the said gate, turn left and look between the two graves in my screenshot. The Herb is standing on a gravestone.

Good, so these are the items you can get the first time you reach the Graveyard. Now, you’ll want to proceed through the story up to the point where you defeat the second boss in House Beneviento. When you are done, you’ll return here to get the next two.

Graveyard Crypt Broken Slab

The third item in the Graveyard is a Broken Slab. This is quite important because it has a time frame, meaning that you’ll find it in a crypt (pictured) that will close later on. So, get it as soon as you return from House Beneviento.

Resident Evil 8 Village Broken Slab How To Use

The Graveyard Broken Slab must be used on the grave west of the Garden (also, don’t miss the collectibles there). You can see the said grave marked on your map as Beneviento’s Treasure. Place the Broken Slab on the grave, and you’ll receive Berengario’s Chalice Treasure you can sell to Duke. After you are done, you’ll have to return one last time to the Graveyard for two cooking ingredients.

Juicy Meat & Meat

The next two items here are very important if you want to get all the Cooking Recipes in RE8. As such, once you return from House Beneviento, you’ll have to look for a tree behind the crypt above. Here, you should spot a Blue Bird you need to shoot and then collect the Juicy Game from it. It is the only Juicy Game in the game, so don’t miss it. You can see it in the image below.

After you get the Juicy Meat, you’ll return here one last time, but after you deal with Moreau (the third boss) to spot two goats running around (as pictured)

They are easy to find, and you’ll have to kill them to get more Meat.

Hanging Birdcage

Finally, after you kill the goats above, head towards the Six-Winged Unborn Key Gate and look to the trees above your head.

You’ll be able to spot a hanging birdcage you can shoot down, thus completing your Resident Evil 8 Village Graveyard search.
