The Resident Evil 8 Village Maiden Of War Eastern Well House Search Completed objective, or turning Leonardo’s House blue on your map, is one of the trickiest tasks you can complete while exploring the Village because the house east of the Maiden of War Statue features a lot of hidden items we will discuss below.
The Resident Evil Village Maiden Of War Well House is the one with a well in front of it, although you can also name it Leonardo’s House because of the message you can find in the kitchen. This Maiden Of War East House plays a key role when it comes to reaching the Red Chimney House during your second visit to the Village.
Before we begin, if you encounter difficulties identifying the house in question, head to the Maiden of War Statue, and on your map is the house east of your location. Additionally, you can see that this house has a blue gate, which will not open until you deal with Lady Dimitrescu. So it can be approached only when you return from the Castle.
Now that you know what house you have to look for, you should also be aware that this is one of the two houses with a basement or B1 Floor if you like. This means that you’ll have to explore both floors. The other one is in East Old Town. Finally, the Basement B1 Floor can be accessed via the door facing the road outside. Or the door behind the Well. So, we’ll start with the B1 items.
Rusted Scrap (Crafting Material)
When you enter the Maiden of War B1 floor of this house, turn right to spot some Rusted Scrap on a shelf. It’s by a yellow bucket, as you can see.

Chem Fluid (Crafting Material)
For the next item, simply turn around, and you’ll see a bottle of Chem Fluid on another shelf. This is easy to spot if you take your time exploring this beautiful Romanian house.

Vivianite (Treasure)
The next item in this house is pretty easy to miss. After you get the previous two, look into the fireplace. This is actually an installation made to produce strong alcohol using plumes or apples. In Romania, the said beverage is named Țuică (you can read more about it here).

Grab the Vivianite and sell it to Duke the next time you see him.
Gunpowder, Teddy Bear & Crate
The final three items in the B1 section of this house can be spotted on the shelf, left from the previous one. On the left side, there is a Gunpowder Box, and on the right side is a crate you can break. In the middle is a cute Teddy Bear. Since this toy is actually a treasure, you can sell it to Duke.

Good, so now that you have achieved the B1 Search Completed objective, head outside and enter the 1F Floor via the main door on top of the stairs.
Handgun Ammo
The moment you enter the upper floor of this house, check the large wardrobe behind the bed. It’s by the window, and inside, you’ll find Handgun Ammo.

Leonardo’s Message (Collectible)
The next important item is Leonardo’s Message, which is one of the collectibles you have to find in the Village. It sits on the table, as you can see below.

This specific note tells you how to get to The House With The Red Chimney.
Shotgun Ammo
Now, you’ll want to use a Lockpick on the top drawer of the white stand behind the table. If you don’t have one, you can get back later. Inside it, you’ll find some ammo for your trusty Shotgun.

Wooden Animal Body (Treasure)
Finally, head to the eastern backroom on the same floor, and by the door, you’ll find the Wooden Animal (Body) below. This treasure is used to create a cute Wooden Goat toy and Treasure similar to Miss Madalina we already got.

After you get this last item, the eastern Maiden of War House search is completed; however, there are two things worth pointing out:
- In the barn outside, there are no items, but there is a shelf you can move to get to The House With The Red Chimney we already cleared.
- In the courtyard, there is an Outhouse you’ll have to open, as outlined in the Village Collectibles Guide here. Inside, you’ll find some Rusted Scrap.
