Resident Evil Village (RE8) Moreau’s Windmill Item Locations

Moreau’s Windmill is the first Resident Evil 8 Village area you’ll get to explore on your way to the third boss in the video game developed by Capcom, and although it may seem overwhelming, it’s actually pretty easy to navigate.

The Resident Evil Village Moreau’s Windmill should not be confused with the Southern Windmill simply because that one must be fixed. The northern Windmill, on the other hand, is fully functional and your starting point towards the Reservoir.

Your journey starts from the Altar in the Village, where Duke’s shop can be found. You need to use the Four-Winged Unborn Key obtained from the second boss to open the gate.

Now, you’ll reach the East Old Town, where you may want to investigate Vasile’s House covered here, then the Waterwheel Weapon House we also discussed. Get all items in these two houses, then follow the river south. As you advance through this area, you’ll eventually see some green slime or goo. Shoot it down. When you get to Moreau’s Gate, also shoot the green slime, then use the ladder on the right to go up.

Before we move to the items you have to collect inside the first Windmill, it is worth noting that you’ll return here after you deal with the boss. As such, stick to the order below and move from one guide to another if needed.

Where To Find the Beasts

The first items you’ll have to get here are, in fact, some Cooking Ingredients. You can see them running around in the form of pigs. Shoot or melee both pigs in the courtyard below, then collect their Meat for your cooking needs.

Where To Find the Windmill Labyrinth

The second important item is a Windmill Labyrinth mini-game or puzzle if you want. This one can be found on the left side of the Windmill. From your location, head left, and you’ll spot it under a shed outside.

For now, you won’t be able to complete it because you need the Mermaid Ball, which is found inside Moreau’s Laboratory area, located east. Since this area is blocked by a Mechanical Door, you’ll need the Crank you obtain in the Reservoir.

Once you get the Crank, you’ll have to explore the Laboratory and get the Mermaid Ball. Then, you’ll need to complete the mini-game and tilt the replica so the ball gets into the slot. As a reward, you’ll get a Chartreuse Skull, which can be sold to Duke.

Where To Find the Photo of a Rare Animal

Now, the final item in this area is the Photo Of A Rare Animal, which is a Collectible. This photo is found on the right side as you enter, on a barrel. Collect it and inspect it closely because it shows a pig. This animal is found behind Elena’s House, close to Luiza’s. Keep in mind that this is your only source of Quality Meat. You may want to shoot it down the moment you get back to the Village.

Awesome job! After you get this photo, use the stairs to go down, then follow the main tunnel and enter the elevator. The Resident Evil 8 Village Moreau’s Windmill Search Completed objective should be on your map, so now it’s time to deal with the items in Moreau’s Mine.
