In the Midtown district of Spider-Man 2, you’ll have to find and retrieve two of Marko’s Memories by locating and shattering the orange crystals at the locations we’ll discuss in the following guide. The Spider-Man 2 Midtown Marko’s Memories allow you to continue investigating Sandman’s past while earning City Tokens.

If you have already found the Memory Crystals in the Financial District, Chinatown, and Greenwich, you know that Flint Marko left his home and his daughter Keemia Alvarado, looking for those tracking him. Eventually, Marko ended up in a Harlem school where armed people were waiting for him. To continue your investigation, you’ll need to get the two Memories in Midtown.

Where To Find the Two Midtown Marko’s Memories in Spider-Man 2

On the custom map below, you can see the locations of both Spider-Man 2 Marko’s Memories collectibles in Midtown. One is on the southwestern corner of the area, while the other is on the eastern side.

The map shows the two locations of the two Spider-Man 2 Marko’s Memories in Midtown

Now that you know where to look for them on your map, let’s see where to find them in the game and what information from Sandman’s past they contain.

Marko’s Memory #1 (The Beast Inside): In a Back Alley

The first Marko Memory Crystal on the map above is found in a back alley; however, you should expect many Sandman’s mobs to ambush you when you get close to it. To get rid of them faster, I suggest breaking the three water pipes in the alley. They are fairly close to the crystal and will instantly kill the mobs.

The first Midtown Marko’s Memory is found in a back alley.

After you break the pipes, stay close to the water, and once you dispatch all enemies, interact with the crystal and break it by pressing R2+L2. The Beast Inside Memory reveals that Flint Marko was able to find those tracking him, but they were not interested in Flint. Instead, they were looking for the beast inside him or the Sandman.

Marko’s Memory #2 (A Familiar Feeling): On the Roof of a Skyscraper

The second Midtown Marko’s Memory is around 900 meters northeast of the previous one, but it’s on top of a skyscraper close to the Colexco building. After you reach the roof, you’ll be ambushed by more mobs, so get ready to face them.

The second Marko's Memory in Spider-Man 2 is found on top of a skyscraper.

If you encounter difficulties, consider throwing them off the roof for some instant kills. Next, interact with the crystal pictured above to discover that Marko didn’t want to hurt anyone when he was captured. But since his captors used a net on him, he turned into Sandman, killing all of them. The fact that Marko was sorry for what he did is truly revealing and heartbreaking, to say the least.

After you find the two Midtown Memories, I suggest going after the Memory in Central Park to learn what happens next.
