Assassin’s Prayerbook is an Elden Ring key item you can retrieve from a chest inside Roundtable Hold while playing the video game developed by FromSoftware. It is very similar to the Royal House Scroll, but it has a different purpose, and it is a bit harder to acquire.
Basically, the Elden Ring Assassin Prayerbook allows you to unlock new Incantations for your Tarnished, but you have to know where to find it and how to get it. Last but not least, you also need to know where to deliver the Assassin’s Prayerbook in Elden Ring or who to give it to. Throughout the following guide, we’ll cover all these questions.
Where To Find the Assassin’s Prayerbook
The Assassin’s Prayerbook in Elden Ring is in the Roundtable Hold’s basement, but before looking for it, you’ll need three Stonesword Keys. These items can usually be found in dungeons, but you can also buy them. For example, the Weeping Peninsula Isolated Merchant found west of the Limgrave Walking Mausoleum sells 3 Stonesword Keys for 2000 Runes each.
Assuming you don’t want to spend your Runes, you can get 1 of them from Stormhill Shack and another one from Castle Morne. Once you have 3 Stonesword Keys, return to Roundtable Hold. Now, from the central room, follow the southeastern corridor to find Smithing Master Hewg working on his anvil.
Next, descend the stairs nearby to get to the basement, then turn left, and around the corner, you’ll see a fog wall. Use the first key on the Imp statue to remove the fog.
In the next room, on the left side, there is a chest containing Crepus’s Black-Key Crossbow. Make sure you get it. Now, use two keys on the next Imp statue (also on the left side), and in the next room, you’ll find another chest near some barrels.
Loot it to get the Assassin’s Prayerbook. Now, the obvious question is what to do with it.
How To Use Brother Corhyn’s Assassin’s Prayerbook
If you open your inventory upon getting the Assassin’s Prayerbook, you’ll find several details: “Prayerbook of the Roundtable Hold’s assassins. Can be given to a learned cleric to gain access to the following incantations: Assassin’s Approach, Darkness.”
By reading the description, you can figure out that this item must be brought to Borher Corhyn, who is in the central room of the hold. After you find Brother Corhyn (pictured below), talk to him, and in the dialogue section, select give a prayerbook.
In return, you’ll unlock the Assassin’s Approach and Darkness Incantations from his shop. One important aspect worth mentioning here is that Brother Corhyn will eventually leave Roundtable Hold later in the game.
When this happens, you’ll find him in the Altus Plateau region, just north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace. Make sure you also bring him the Fire Monks’ Prayerbook before he leaves.
