Elden Ring Redmane Painting is a key item you may find when exploring Sellia Town Of Sorcery in the Caelid area of the video game developed by FromSoftware for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Following the same logic as the previous two paintings we found (Homing Instinct and Prophecy), the Elden Ring Caelid Redmane Painting requires you to find a specific ghost admiring the same area as the one in the painting.
The main difference between the Redmane Painting and the previous two is that it’s notably harder to complete because the ghost’s location is extremely hard to reach. Nevertheless, throughout the guide below, I’ll tell you how to get to the ghost so you can claim the Rain of Arrows Ash of War.
Where To Find Redmane Painting in Sellia Town of Sorcery
As you can see on my map below, the Elden Ring Redmane Painting is in Sellia, in central Caelid.
The painting is relatively easy to spot since it’s on the ground, on the right side of the main path, while traveling north. You’ll see it between some rubbles next to the ghost of a soldier.
Upon retrieving the Redmane Painting under the balcony above, it’s time to find the ghost.
Where To Find the Location in the Redmane Painting
Before talking about the actual location of the ghost, it is worth outlining that to get to the area where you must deliver the painting, you’ll have to perform a series of jumps. These jumps can lead to death, so you should consider spending the runes you carry before attempting them. Also, you may want to increase your character’s health a bit.
Last but not least, you have to follow a specific path to get to the ghost, which I will outline below. With that being said, your next destination is the Minor Erdtree in northeastern Caelid. Here, you’ll find a Putrid Avatar Boss, but you don’t have to fight him. Just go around until you reach the location marked on my map.
As you can notice, this is on the edge of the mountain, and if you walk carefully and look down, you’ll see a hidden area. Your goal is to descend to it, but things are not that easy because you need to jump on some tree roots. Therefore, start from the location in my image below and ditch the horse.
From the spot I have marked for you above, look down to spot a large branch/root. If you try jumping while mounted, there is a big chance of dying, so dismount and drop on the branch.
From here, turn around, and you’ll see another branch further down. The goal here is to jump on it, then on the second branch, then on the large stone pillar below.
Now, turn around, and you’ll see another stone pillar while facing the mountain’s wall. Here, you should summon Torrent before jumping. Now, while standing on the second stone pillar, look below your location to see another root.
Drop on it while mounted, then turn around. In the area below, you’ll see a sleeping Iron Golem. Just so you know, this giant hits hard, so there is no need to wake him up unless you are ready to fight him. Simply sneak around and look for the Redmane Painting Ghost sitting at the edge of the platform. You can see the ghost below.
Upon approaching the ghost, wait for it to vanish, and as a reward for finding the location of the Elden Ring Redmane Painting, you’ll receive the Rain of Arrows Ash of War.
