Rya’s Necklace is a key item you must find in Elden Ring if you wish to start Rya’s questline and complete her first request in Liurnia. Rya is one of the scouts at Volcano Manor, an important landmark that you will discover later in the game in the Altus Plateau region.
Throughout the following Elden Ring guide, we’ll tell you where to find this NPC, start the quest, and retrieve Rya’s Necklace.
Where To Find Rya in Liurnia
You can find Rya under the pavilion next to the bird’s eye telescope, north of Laskyar Ruins, in Liurnia of the Lakes.
The pavilion is east of the Scenic Isle Site of Grace, where you should also find Patches if you spared his life in Murkwater Cave. Approach the pavilion and go inside to meet her.
After exhausting her dialogue lines, she will ask you to recover a necklace from a thief hiding in an abandoned house, so that’s where you need to go next.
Where To Find the Blackguard Thug
You can find the thief known by Blackguard Big Boggart northwest of Rya’s pavilion at Boilprawn Shack. The location is marked on the map below.
Speak with the Blackguard Big Boggart, who will offer you the Necklace in exchange for 1000 Runes. As you can guess, you can also kill him and then loot his corpse to get Rya’s Necklace, but this would be a poor choice because you won’t be able to find him later in Altus Plateau.
Or, simply put, killing Blackguard Big Boggart will lock you out of his quest and future encounters.
Instead, buy Rya’s Necklace from him. Additionally, you’ll also want to buy a Boiled Prawn and unlock the Spread Out Gesture.
How To Use the Volcano Manor Invitation
Now, with the Necklace in your inventory, head back to Rya. For bringing her the Necklace and being helpful, she rewards you with an essential item named the Volcano Manor Invitation.
Now, open your inventory, and you’ll see the following description:
“Letter given by Rya as thanks for retrieving her Necklace. Contains an invitation to Volcano Manor.
Brave Tarnished, Seek the Altus Plateau in the realm of the Erdtree. Prove yourself by making this journey, and the Volcano Manor will fully extend its invitation. To fight, amongst a family of champions.”
The Elden Ring Volcano Manor Invitation is a key item that allows you to join the Volcano Manor covenant later in the game. Upon completing the first task, Rya moves to the top of the Grand Lift of Dectus, a colossal structure that joins the regions of Liurnia and the Altus Plateau.
