Elden Ring Fort Gael North Ghost Footprints belong to another Invisible Teardrop Scarab, very similar to the one found in Aeonia, except that this one follows a different pattern and allows you to unlock the Flame of the Redmanes Ash of War.
The Fort Gael North Invisible Teardrop Scarab is relatively easy to miss since it’s close to several Skull Chariots and soldiers, so most likely, you’ll be busy dealing with them.
However, it is recommended that you stop the Elden Ring Fort Gael North Ghost Scarab as soon as possible so you can unlock a new Ash of War, especially if you are a completionist. Let’s see how you can do this.
Where To Find the Fort Gael North Ghost Footprints
On the map below, you can notice that the Invisible Scarab or the white ghost footprints you must find are northeast of Fort Gael North Site of Grace and southeast of the Gael Tunnel dungeon.
If you have already found the Limgrave Beach Running Ghost, you already know how this works. Basically, what you have to do is to find the Invisible Scarab and then kill it, but since you can’t target it or see it, it can be pretty annoying. So, start by clearing the area and dealing with all enemies that can interrupt your chase.
How To Stop the Moving Fort Gael North Invisible Running Footprints
To start hunting the Fort Gael North Invisible Ghost, make sure you first observe the path it follows.
Since the running ghost follows the same route every time, the idea is to find the spot where the path intersects. This way, you get more than one chance to hit the ghost during a single lap. In this case, the spot where you want to wait for the white footprints is between the mushroom hills.
The image above (notice the swords I have marked) shows the location where you can hit the invisible ghost three times during a single lap, thus increasing the chances of stopping it. Make sure that you remain mounted, don’t run after the ghost, and use a melee weapon to strike it when near you.
If correctly timed at the indicated location, your strike should kill the running ghost, and the Flame of the Redmanes Ash of War is yours. I just lured the big fire head car to the path and eventually the scarab ran into it and died. Did it by accident, too.
Now that’s an interesting approach!
