Elden Ring Shack Of The Rotting is a minor landmark in the Caelid area, and it is found northeast of Gael Tunnel and southeast of Smoldering Church. As a minor landmark, Elden Ring Shack Of The Rotting is relatively poor in loot, and there are no notable opponents here, except for several corpses. Nevertheless, it is still worth exploring, and throughout the guide below, we’ll outline all items found at this location.
Where To Find The Shack Of The Rotting
In the latest video game developed by FromSoftware, Shack Of The Rotting can be reached by following the northern path connecting Limgrave and Caelid.
After jumping over the burning wall at the border, you should spot this location right in front of you. Here, you’ll find the Rotview Balcony Site of Grace you should activate the moment you get to this small landmark.
Where To Find All Shack Of Rotting Items
The first essential items you should collect from this location are the five Preserving Boluses found on the corpse pictured below. These items are very important when entering the Abandoned Cave if you are looking for the Gold Scarab Talisman, so try not to waste/sell them.
As you can see, the said corpse is inside a hut on the right side (south) while facing the Elden Ring Rotview Balcony Site of Grace. Be advised, though, that once you approach the corpse, a running ghoul spawns nearby. Now, upon collecting the Preserving Boluses, check the barn on the other side, and here you’ll find 1 Gold Rune [3].
Again, be careful because several ghouls appear out of nowhere when you touch the loot. Finally, you’ll want to check the Rotview Balcony for a corpse that’s sitting on the left side of a ghost.
Loot the corpse in my screenshot to get 2 Nascent Butterflies. These are crafting materials used to craft:
- Dappled Cured Meat
- Dappled White Cured Meat
After you get these 2 Butterflies, the Elden Ring Shack Of The Rotting is complete, but feel free to talk to the ghost nearby if you’re interested in a warning. Now, you should head southeast toward the Forsaken Ruins, where you’ll find a new weapon.
