Elden Ring Wyndham Catacombs, located in the Altus Plateau region, is a minor, optional dungeon containing items such as the Lightning Scorpion Charm, the Ancient Dragon Apostle’s Cookbook, and the Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing.
In the following guide, we will show you where you can find the Wyndham Catacombs and how to collect all the treasures we mentioned in the video game developed by FromSoftware.
Elden Ring Wyndham Catacombs Location – Where To Find
The Wyndham Catacombs are located at the top of the Wyndham Ruins in the Altus Plateau region.
To reach the Wyndham Catacombs entrance, head north from the Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Grace until you reach Wyndham Ruins.
Then head to the highest ruined building in the area, and the entrance to Wyndham Catacombs is just behind it.
Elden Ring Wyndham Catacombs Location – How To Navigate
The only room at the top of the Wyndham Catacombs Site of Grace is the locked door with the two statues that can be opened by finding and pulling the lever inside the catacombs.
Moving past this door is a chamber with an elevator; however, be wary of the trap button between the rooms, which will fire a row of three lightning shots three times.
In the first room after the elevator, you will encounter two imps that throw lightning bolts and a gigantic guillotine trap that splits the room in half and raises and drops repeatedly.
Around the corner from this room, there is another room with two imps, one on the far wall from where you enter and one directly to the right of the doorway.
The passage down the narrow stairway leads to a giant underground sewage area with wet ground and numerous slimes and zombies.
In the center of the room, there is a lightning trap concealed in the water; stepping on the trap will cause lightning to lash down around it.
After clearing the area and moving forward, you will encounter a Gold Dragon Cult Knight guarding the path.
At the top of the ladder, keep an eye out for the trap on the ground next to the ladder, which will shoot lightning bolts from behind you.
There is an Imp Statue sealing the room to the west and a path leading left; an Imp will attack you at the intersection, so be prepared.
The Lightning Scorpion Charm is kept on a corpse lying against the tombstone in the sealed room, requiring a Stonesword Key to open.
The next room in the Catacombs has a spiked ceiling and a rising floor platform.
If you are standing on the platform, when raised to the top, the floor will rise to stab you into the ceiling, repeating until you are off the platform or dead.
You will encounter two more imps who throw lightning bolts, one ahead of you and one above the doorway.
After you clear them out, run to the opposite side, where you’ll find an Imp around the corner to the right and a Gold Dragon Cult Knight guarding the lever.
Kill them to get access to the lever that will open the boss’s door.
To leave, step on the platform to raise it, then sprint across while it resets to reach the alcove above the entrance.
Then wait for the platform to lower and jump down to return to the entrance.
Step once more on the platform and jump down beneath it while moving to reach the sewer area.
A tunnel will get you from this area to the closed sewer section, where you will encounter several zombies.
When you get to the end of the chamber with the two bodies to loot, two Giant Crabs will rise from underneath you.
Once you defeat the Giant Crabs, loot the corpses to receive 2x Magic Grease, a Golden Rune , and the Ancient Dragon Apostle’s Cookbook .
To get out of there, use the lever on your right.
Return to the doors where you will need to defeat the Erdtree Burial Watchdog boss.
Using Spirit Ashes to aid in the fight can help distract attention away from you, allowing you to deal damage freely or find additional time to recover if needed.
After defeating the boss, you will receive 12.000 Runes and the Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing.
