- 1 x Erdtree Greatbow;
- 1 x Erdtree’s Favor;
- 1 x Banished Knight Oleg’s Ashes;
- 1 x Golden Seed;
- 1 x Lightning Grease;
- 1 x Dragonwound Grease;
- 5 x Poisonbone Dart;
- 1 x Golden Rune [5];
Throughout the following guide, we will explain how to collect all the loot and get to the final boss of Fringefolk Hero’s Grave in the game developed by FromSoftware.
Where To Find Fringefolk Hero’s Grave
Fringefolk Hero’s Grave can be found in Limgrave, near the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace, the first site you unlock when you start the game.
To quickly get there, teleport to the site of grace, and you will see the fog wall. Next to it is an Imp Statue.
To enter the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave, you will need 2 x Stonesword Keys to unlock the dungeon. Start by using them on the Imp Statue near the entrance. Before going inside, it is also recommended to bring a bow and at least ten arrows to make the experience more accessible.
After unlocking the dungeon, drop down without using the ladder and make a run through the poison until you reach solid ground on your right. Dropping down will cause you to stagger; however, you will not take any damage from falling, and you will have enough time to reach solid ground before you get fully poisoned.
How To Avoid the Chariot Trap
Position yourself on these skeleton remains, as in the image shown below, and wait for the Chariot to approach.
The easiest way to do this without getting killed is to run as soon as the Chariot starts turning around in front of you. Avoid looting the corpse in front of you since it will slow you down. You can loot it later for 5 x Poisonbone Dart.
Follow the Chariot down, stick to the ramp’s left side, and get inside the second opening you see on the left. Inside that opening, you will see an archer that you can quickly kill. Kill him and wait for the Chariot to climb back up. When it passes you, go to the next opening you see on the right side this time.
There will be an archer and an opening behind him. Be careful not to fall. A swordsman will charge you from the opposite side, but if you timed it right, the Chariot should already be on its way back up and will kill him.
When the Chariot starts going back up again, drop down out of the hole in the wall and instantly start running down until you reach a bridge.
As you get down, in a small hallway, there will be two imps waiting that you can quickly kill one by one.
How To Disable the Fire Trap
After killing the imps, go down the hallway and reach the stairway. Stop before reaching the bottom because a fire-breathing statue will throw flames at you.
Equip the bow, and as soon as the flames stop, shoot the fire-breathing statue to turn it off. Going forward, be mindful of the gap on the right side, as an Imp will be waiting to ambush you. As you get into the fire-breathing statue’s room, go to the left of the statue, where you will find an imp and 2 x Lightning Grease to loot.
After you kill it and loot the corpse, return to the previous room and go into the next chamber behind the pillar. You should come across an archway leading to a big statue surrounded by candles. There are two Grafted Scions on the ceiling, one directly above you and the other across the bridge above the statue, ready to ambush you as soon as you cross the bridge.
Take out your bow and shoot the one across the bridge, on the ceiling. Try to lure him to you across the bridge so you don’t have to fight over it and fall off. Kill him and cross over the bridge. The second Grafted Scion will drop down from the ceiling behind you as soon as you get on the other side.
Try to fight and defeat him on this side of the chamber so you don’t fall off the bridge. Loot the corpse on the ground for Erdtree’s Favor, a talisman that raises maximum HP, stamina, and equip load. Make your way back to the chamber entrance and look down over the ledge. You will see a ledge to drop down.
Drop down on the ledge, then drop again into the water below (it’s not poisonous). Go through the entrance you see behind you and take the elevator up. As you take up the stairs, you should reach a platform over the Chariot.
You will encounter a Castle Guard Phantom with a polearm on your left. As you kill him, make sure you don’t fall off the ledge. He puts up a good fight. After you kill it, go to the left where the phantom was before, and look for three giant pots on the ceiling right in front of the ledge.
You must shoot the rope holding them to dump one of them on the Chariot when it is passing right underneath. You will only have three chances, so be patient. It will take around 1 second for a pot to reach the ground, so you need to time it right.
If you fail, these pots will respawn if you rest at the site of grace so that you can try again. After you blow up the Chariot, you will be rewarded with an Erdtree Greatbow and a couple of Great Arrows.
Now the Chariot will be gone for good, so you don’t have to worry about being run over by it, even if you respawn, making the dungeon much easier to progress. You can safely drop down off the ledge and move forward down the ramp. Cross over the narrow bridge we’ve seen before, loot the corpse for a Golden Rune [5], and turn left.
Here, you have two choices. Going right will take you into a chamber with a ghost soldier with a sword and shield that’s very aggressive. Defeat him to receive 1 x Dragonwound Grease, and also, you can loot the corpse on the ground to receive 1 x Dragon Communion Seal, a Faith, and an Arcane scaling weapon.
Going left takes you to a group of phantom enemies that you can fairly easy to run past them to get to the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave Boss Chamber, which is on the right, at the bottom of the slope. There is no Site of Grace, but you will have Stake of Marika to respawn if you die in the boss battle.
Upon defeating Ulcerated Tree Spirit, you will be rewarded with 15000 Runes, a Golden Seed, and the Banished Knight Oleg’s summoning ashes.
