Elden Ring Meteorite Staff is one of the best weapons you can get early in the game for your Astrologer, so it is a must-have for all spellcasters. In fact, the Meteorite Staff is so accessible that you’ll want to go after it the moment you unlock Torrent or your mount.
What makes the Meteorite Staff one of the best Elden Ring early-game weapons are its 143 Sorcery scaling and S scaling for Intelligence. If we also add the fact that you only have to deal with a handful of mobs to get it, it’s clear that you should focus on this weapon as soon as you can.
So, if you wonder where to find the best Elden Ring Astrologer Staff early in the game, we’ll discuss its location below.
Where To Find the Meteorite Staff
In the video game developed by FromSoftware, the Meteorite Staff is found close to the Astray from Caelid Highway North Site of Grace. You can see the said location on my map below.
Although getting there may look like a suicidal task, it’s not; however, several requirements can make the whole journey easier for you.
- First, you’ll want to unlock Torrent
- Second, you’ll want to fully reveal the Limgrave map
For the first requirement, you’ll need to get the Spectral Steed Whistle from Melina. This item is obtained after you discover any 3 Sites of Grace. So start by activating the one at Stranded Graveyard (starting location), then the one at The First Step (outside the starting location), and finally the one at Church of Elleh.
Next, you’ll want to travel east towards the Gatefront Ruins and unlock the Leveling-Up option. Finally, you’ll want to head north toward the large gate and activate one last Site of Grace known as Gatefront. While at this site, Melina will hand over the “keys” to your mount, named Torrent. Or the Spectral Steed Whistle if you want.
After you unlock Torrent, you’ll want to fully reveal the Limegrave map, and for this, you need the 3 Limgrave Map Fragments. These, however, can be skipped, but they’ll make the journey a bit easier. Now, you’re ready to go after the Staff, and you can see the location you need to reach on the map above.
Obviously, there are unlimited options to get there, but the shortest route is from the Third Church of Marika Site of Grace. This Site of Grace is west of the Staff’s location, and you can jump over the eastern mountains without engaging any enemy.
As you can guess, you can also follow the northern road if you wish, as long as you get to the Astray from Caelid Highway North Site of Grace, which I have marked for you. When this happens, activate the Site of Grace.
How To Get the Best Staff for Early Game
Great, so once you get to the said Site of Grace, it’s time to look for the Meteorite Staff. Jump back on Torrent and head east towards the large area that looks like a cauldron. The idea here is to find the ruined tower in my image below.
After you locate the ruins, all you need to do is drop inside. To avoid dying, consider double-jumping when you get close to the ground while falling. When inside the ruins, you’ll most likely see several living plants. These are quickly dispatched from a safe distance.
If you have the Spirit Calling Bell and Lone Wolf Ashes, you can also summon your companions to deal with the plants. Once you kill all the plants, head inside the small room, and you’ll see a corpse.
Pillage the remains (pictured above), and the Elden Ring Meteorite Staff is yours. As said, this Staff is one of the best you can get early in the game without having to beat powerful bosses. If you want to deal with the Tree Sentinel Boss early, it is also the recommended weapon.
