Esobert is a small boy and a quest giver for an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mystery you can complete in Wincestre. The Mystery is named Romeo and Aethelflaed, and it must be completed to get 100% completion in Wincestre.
Your goal is to help Romeo (aka Esobert) get a Beautiful Flower for Aethelflaed, the girl who stole Romeo’s heart. And that’s precisely what we are going to do. We will help Esobert get that flower no matter what.
AC Valhalla Romeo and Aethelflaed World Event Location
On my map below, you can see the location of Esobert in Wincestre, or if you want, the spot where you’ll start the Mystery. Esobert is on top of The Nun’s Minister, ready to kill himself for the flower he wants.
When you get to the location on the map, you should be able to spot several kids encouraging Esobert to jump off the roof. Which we have to agree is not really smart. So, the first thing you’ll want to do here is to reach the roof of The Nun’s Minister using the wooden platforms on the church’s exterior walls.
Now, talk to Esobert, and he’ll tell you about Aethelflaed, the princess he fell in love with. To show his intentions, however, Esobert needs a flower and your help since he can’t get it without breaking his neck.
Where To Find Esobert’s Flower
While standing close to Esobert, turn around and look down to see a natural pergola. You can see it in my image below, and you can also notice some red flowers that grew on the tree branch.
Reaching the top of the said branch is your goal, and you can do this in various ways. The fastest method is to use the zip line to get down and release the rope the moment you are above the branch. This is done by pressing O on your PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5 controller, but it requires perfect timing. Since you are already close to the zip line, try it.
If by any chance you miss the branch, you can simply climb the large tree and move from one branch to another until you get close to the flower (pictured).
Now that you have the Beautiful Flower look for Esobert on the ground and give it to him. This will trigger a cutscene, and you’ll see him meeting Aethelflaed. It is also worth mentioning that according to Wikipedia, Aethelflaed was the ruler of Mercia between 911 and 918 AD. She was also known as the Lady of the Mercians, so yeah, she’s actually a princess.
