The King Of The Hill is by far the stupidest Assassin’s Creed Valhalla World Event and NPC you’ll meet in the Sciropescire region because this Saxon just doesn’t know when to give up. Literally. Nevertheless, since we aim to get 100% completion in every territory, the King of The Hill mystery must be completed.
The thing is that the King Of The Hill (aka the quest-giver) is way crazier than the other king we have met in Grantebridgescire while playing The Lord Of Norsexe side quest. That guy, who was also a king, was nice enough to claim a small island, whereas this guy claimed a hill. And it’s not small, let me tell you that. So, let’s see what this guy wants and what you must do to get rid of him. Although you can’t, so that you know.
AC Valhalla King Of The Hill World Event Location
Both the King of The Hill quest giver and, well, the quest can be found close to the southern border of Sciropescire—specifically, southwest of Dhustone Quarry, as you can see in my screenshot.
The wannabe king at this location is, obviously, on top of the hill he just claimed. You’ll most likely hear him yelling that nobody can defeat him and that he is the ruler of the hill. Look for this crazy fellow inside a closure because we clearly can’t say that that’s a castle. Now go talk to him.
How to Defeat the King of the Hill
The good thing about The King Of The Hill quest is that you don’t have to talk too much to this guy. This means that the moment you approach him, he’ll agree to fight you. So, beat the hell out of him because he’s more than accessible. Depending on your level, you can take this guy out in one hit.
After he is defeated, loot his “castle”. While looting this place, you’ll get a Smelly Necklace you can sell and some Titanium, and you can read the King of The Hill Declaration. Now leave the area.
Once you get out of his enclosure, you’ll hear him screaming again. So, it’s time for another round. Defeat him again, then leave the area just to hear him insulting you again! What?
Yes, this is a one-of-a-kind character. So go back to him and give him another good beating. Once you defeat him the third time, he’ll leave his fort, and the event is complete. Except that he doesn’t leave for good, and if you return here after some time, you’ll find him in the same spot, claiming that he is the ruler of that hill. You can’t fight him again, thank God!
