The Note Of Support is an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla quest item in Oxenefordscire in front of a small locked chappel close to another World Event location. This specific note leads to the actual mystery you’ll need to solve, and the protagonist is another nun. Luckily, this nun, or the Anchoress we’ll discuss below, is not as insane as Aelfwyn, so this World Event won’t take too long to complete.

So, let’s see how you can help this specific nun and finish The Anchoress mystery, which again is one of the shortest in the game.

AC Valhalla The Anchoress World Event Location

As you can see on my map below, both the Note Of Support and the Anchoress can be found northwest of Buckingham. Look for this event on the western side of Oxenefordscire.

When you get close, you’ll see a small chapel with a grated door, which is obviously barred. In the screenshot below, you can see the chapel, the barred door, and the Note of Support (on a stone near the crates).

Reading this note is the first step to solving this mystery. Here is what it says:

“Bless you, dearie. You’re an inspiration to us all. Accept these few carrots; they’ve turned black and all, but the Good Lord made them, and they give sustenance.”

Good, so we have some rotten carrots left by someone to someone. This means that there is a person inside this chapel. So, it’s time to open the barred door.

How To Convince The Anchoress To Get Out

Go behind the chapel, and you’ll see a grated window like the one in the following picture.

Shoot an arrow through the grates and make sure you hit the locker to unlock the chapel’s door. Now get inside and start looting, well, everything. There are several crates here, but the next important item you’ll want to find is the Anchoress’s Journal in the corner of the main room.

Read it because you’ll find out more about this nun who went into deep prayer after she lost her family. Sad right?

Sure is, so talk to her, and you’ll find even more details. The idea here is to convince her to go outside, and this can be done if you have level 2 charisma.

If you don’t, make sure you do some Flying Duels, then return here. Once you tell her to come out with you, she’ll be more than happy to follow Eivor and also really excited to see the sun. A strange character, isn’t she? Well, not as strange as the old raider Alvar.
