Alvar is an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla NPC in the Oxenefordscire region and a quest giver you’ll have to help. Because you see, besides being an NPC, Alvar is also a former raider. A 60-year-old one who is a bit crazy. If you think about it, Alvar is hilarious and sad at the same time, but we still need to help him get ready for his last raid. Which takes place in his courtyard, just so you know.

In the video game developed by Ubisoft, this World Event is named The Last Raid, and in the following guide, I am going to help you help Alvar. So, let us begin with his location.

AC Valhalla The Last Raid World Event Location

As you can see on my map below, friends, Alvar is located west of Evinghou Tower. He’s really easy to locate, especially because if you get close to his location, you’ll hear him talking to his crew.

Except that Alvar doesn’t have a crew. But he has a wife who is pretty mad at him because instead of doing his chores, our former fat raider is, well, raiding. So start by talking to him, and he’ll ask you to help prepare the ship for an awesome raid. And, yeah, it will be awesome.

How To Help Alvar Prepare The Ship

The first thing you’ll have to do once you talk to him is to get ore so Alvar’s crew members can repair their weapons even though there is no crew. So, interact with the ore (pictured below).

Next, you’ll need planks to repair the ship because, well, there are storms that will hit you hard. Except that there is no water in Alvar’s courtyard. But interact with the workbench anyway, so Alvar can see you are trying to help.

Finally, Alvar’s crew needs food. Look for another table (also pictured) and interact with the large fish. You don’t have to cook it, though.

And that’s it! You are ready to start your raid.

How to Sound the Horn

But to do that, you’ll need to blow your horn and signal the crew. Press Down on your D-Pad, and from the selection wheel, choose the horn so Alvar’s last raid can start.

When you do that, your crew will be ready, and so will the wolves nearby. Your crew must defeat them. Except that there is no crew! So you’ll have to deal with them alone. Once you defeat the furry Saxons, talk to Alvar again, and Eivor will tell him the sad truth about his crew.

Regardless though, Alvar will be quite happy that you helped him raid one last time, even though his wife continues to be upset because he’s not attending to the crops. But Alvar is happy, and you should be, too, for the XP you just received. Who cares about crops anyway?
