The Mad King’s Ring is an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla quest item you’ll need to find for the King of Norsexe as an objective of a World Event you can complete in the Grantebridgescire region. And if you thought that Degolas The Beautiful was a funny quest, wait until you play this one. This World Event is named The Lord Of Norsexe, although we can’t call the NPC a lord because he is, in fact, a beggar. A crazy one, too.

AC Valhalla The Lord Of Norsexe World Event Location

This strange fellow lives on the small island west of Grantebridge, as you can see on my map below. He’s pretty easy to find since he is the only inhabitant on that island, which is, well … his domain.

When you travel to that location, you’ll find a strange fellow sitting on a throne. This guy seeks an alliance. With someone. Anyone.

Where To Find the Ring Among the Wreck

When you talk to this lord, you’ll find that you are in the kingdom of Norsexe, and his name is Egwald. Egwald will tell you that he arrived on this island along with his brother, who died. Drowned. Terrible accident. The problem here is that Egwald’s brothers carried an arm ring.

Obviously, your task or objective is to find Egwald’s arm ring, which is pretty easy to locate. But before doing that, check the note behind the king’s throne. If you do, you’ll find that The Chronicles of Norsexian Kings reveals something interesting, such as the fact that Egwald’s brothers were treated as usurpers. You can see the note below.

Now, this specific note leads to the idea that Egwald killed his brothers. Regardless, though, you still need to find the king’s arm ring. Head down the path in front of the king’s throne, and in the distance, you’ll see a rock in the water and a shipwreck.

That is the diving spot where Egwald’s brothers died or the arm-ring location. When you reach the spot, dive straight down, and you’ll find a body you can loot like the one in the following screenshot.

Get the Precious Arm-Ring, then head back to Egwald; on your way back, though, read the Tattered Letter With Raven Blood On It, sitting on a barrel close to the island’s shore. This letter reveals that the mad king Egwald killed his brothers by locking them in a longship.

Next, give the arm ring to Egwald, and you’ll have two choices. If you agree to be his first alliance, The Lord Of Norsexe quest ends, and you’ll get a Silver Ring you can sell.

But, if you tell Egwald that his story doesn’t add up (because you found the clues), the king will become angry and attack you. Obviously, this is an easy fight, and once you kill him, you’ll still get the Silver Ring. Make sure you loot his corpse. Deciding what you want to do with this killer is your choice.
