The Blood Diary is an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla quest item found in the Vinland region next to a dead man named Eirik the Bold, a poor hunter who broke his leg after tumbling off a cliff. The AC Valhalla Blood Diary also offers clues on how to solve the World Event named A Dead Man’s Tale, and below, we will talk about this mystery because there is also a choice you’ll have to make.

Before we begin, though, make sure you complete A Dead Man’s Tale before Breaking Teeth, Not Hearts, because just like Flight of Fancy and Ursine Takeover, the NPC you’ll meet will help you during a hunt.

AC Valhalla A Dead Man’s Tale World Event Location

As you can see on my map, the Blood Diary is found west of Nyhofn. When you get to this location, you’ll find a dead body (aka Eirik the Bold), and close to him, you’ll see a page from his diary (Blood Diary).

Look for them inside a rather large hole. No wonder this guy broke his leg.

Obviously, Eirik has been dead for quite some time, so there is nothing you can do for him except for carrying his body back to Nyhofn.

How To Find Eirik’s Sister

Grab Eirik’s body, open your map, and head east from your current location. This is a simple fetch quest, and all you have to do is to walk back to Nyhofn. If wild animals attack you, drop Eirik’s body and deal with them, then continue your walk in the woods.

The moment you reach Nyhofn, you’ll need to find a specific NPC, and that NPC is a woman asking people if they saw her brother. She is standing on a small hill, as you can see in my screenshot below.

When you approach her with Eirik’s body, a cutscene will start, and you’ll have to choose between several answers. All of them will help you complete the mystery, but the correct one is to tell the Norse Woman to follow in her brother’s footsteps.

This way, Eirik’s sister will start training, and she’ll join the Nyhofn Hunters or the Toothbreakers; thus, she’ll participate in the hunt you’ll have to complete for the Breaking Teeth, Not Hearts world event.
