The Nest Ring is an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla quest item for a World Event you can play in the Cent region, where you’ll meet a girl who needs your help. The AC Valhalla Nest Ring is actually a ring that belonged to the girl’s mother, and it was stolen by a bird (most likely a raven), so the girl wants you to recover it for her.
This world event is named The Sky Thief, and it is a short one, provided you know how to recover the girl’s lost ring without getting to the nest.
AC Valhalla The Sky Thief World Event Location
As you can see on my map below, the girl looking for her mother’s ring is located in the southwestern region of Cent. You should be able to spot her southwest of Beamasfield.
When you get to this location, look for a wooden platform up in a tree. The girl is standing on it, and she’s talking to the thief, that thief being a bird or a raven if you want.
How To Get the Girl’s Ring in the Nest
After you climb the ladder where the girl stands, read the note next to her. It is an Apology, and it was left by the girl’s mother, who states that she had to break the ladder on the tree nearby because her daughter was going up that tree to see the raven’s nest. At first sight, you’d think that this is a simple quest.
Get the ring and give it to the girl. And you’d be right, except there is a catch with this one because the note next to the girl comes from her stepmother. So talk to the girl; she’ll tell you that someone borrowed the ring and then a bird stole it. Now, getting the ring in the nest is simple.
From the platform where the girl is located, turn around, pull out your bow, and aim for the oil jars in the nest on the other tree, as you see in the following screenshot.
Remember that this may require several tries, but it can be done, and if you run out of arrows, there are more next to the note. After you hit the oil jars, the explosion will destroy the nest, and the ring will fall down. Head to the ground and pick it up, as you see in my picture.
Once you pick it up, an interesting cutscene starts, and a woman appears out of nowhere.
Should You Give the Girl the Ring or Not (Best Choice)
She is the girl’s mother, and once you talk to her, you’ll have to decide who gets the ring: the woman or her stepdaughter. Regardless of who gets it, the event will end but pay close attention to what the woman says.
Long story short, the ring you recovered belongs to the woman as she received it from her husband; however, this ring was owned by the girl’s mother, who passed away. Because she wasn’t able to move on with her life, the girl stole the ring from her stepmother, even though she wasn’t hers.
So, the correct choice here would be to return the ring to the woman and tell the girl to move on with her life. This scenario is very similar to Mae’s Last Leaf. After you give the ring to the woman, talk to the girl, and although she will be upset, she will continue with her life.
