The Sarclitas Offering Altar in Melunois is one of the first Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mysteries you’ll have to solve when you reach France, and to do so, you’ll have to find 3 Regular European Pond Turtles. The Siege of Paris DLC European Turtles are very easy to locate, but if you need help, I’ll tell you how to get them.

The AC Valhalla Melunois Offering Altar and the 3 Turtles we’ll discuss are part of the Siege of Paris DLC, released by Ubisoft on August 12, 2021.

Where To Find the AC Valhalla Melunois Offering Altar Mystery

As you can see below, the Sarclitas Offering Altar in AC Valhalla is located just northwest of your French camp or settlement if you want. It’s quite easy to spot, so you’ll first want to travel to the location marked on the map.

When you are close to the spot, follow the stairs up. Interact with the Altar, and you’ll be asked to offer three Regular European Pond Turtles. One thing you’ll need to keep in mind here is the size of the turtles you’ll have to bring, and that size is regular.

Where To Find 3 Regular European Pond Turtles for the Sarclitas Altar Offering

To get three Regular European Turtles in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, open your map and notice the small lake north of your current location or the Melunois Offering Altar. That’s where you’ll find the turtles. You can see the said pond or the small lake in my screenshot above. It is the one close to the road.

To get the turtles, you have two options:

  • Shoot them with your bow (faster)
  • Jump into the water and melee them (slower)

If you decide to shoot them with your bow, maintain a safe distance so you don’t scare them. On the other hand, if you want to melee them, you’ll have to chase the poor animals, and as you’ll notice, while in water, they are quite fast. So, I suggest you attack them from a distance. Shoot as many as possible, then jump in the pond and loot their carcasses.

Before returning to the AC Valhalla Melunois Altar, check your inventory and make sure you have 3 Regular Turtles because small ones don’t count. Once you place the offering, you’ll receive one skill point.
