Getting a monk angry is not easy, but getting an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla monk angry is even harder, yet it is required to complete another World Event that counts as a Grantebridgescire Mystery. This one is called The Devout Troll, and while playing it, you’ll find the cruel truth behind an Anglo-Saxon priest you’ll encounter in Grantebridgescire.

Assuming you don’t know how to tackle this quest, I will help you with it because you’ll need it to get 100% completion in the second area you’ll explore in England. It is as short as the previous Mystery (The Infinite Noise of Men) but not as funny as that one. In fact, this one is a bit scary.

AC Valhalla The Devout Troll World Event Location

So, the first thing you need to do is to head to the location marked on the map below.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Devout Troll World Event

You can notice that it is north of Wycham highpoint, in a swampy area. Here, you’ll meet a monk who is quite proud that he never gets angry. And he’ll make sure you know that, too. Obviously, the way he behaves is really strange.

Your goal for this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla World Event is simple. To get this monk angry. Why? Because only then will he move from the chair he is standing on, revealing a secret.

How To Get the Monk’s Key In Grantebridgescire

The first thing you’ll have to do is to set the monk’s house on fire. Select the torch by pressing Down on your D-Pad, then throw it on the roof. Basically, the monk asks you to do that, bragging that this won’t make him angry.

Next, turn around and kill his cow. Yeah, this is a required sacrifice, but the monk will still not move. The cow, though, will drop two pieces of leather. Then, destroy the wooden crates near the monk. Now, head inside the house and read the note (Monk’s Hasty Letter), then destroy the crate in the left corner as you enter. This will make the monk stand, so quickly head outside and grab the Monk’s Shed Door Key from his stool.

Ready for the secret? Go around the house and open the locked door using the key. Get inside and take a look at what the monk was doing. Not so peaceful after all…right? Make sure you loot the chest inside the monk’s locked room, then get ready because now (since you found his secret), he’s pissed. So, talk to him, then fight Tom o’Bedlam and put him to rest.
