AC Valhalla Fornburg Wealth: Scorched Paper Puzzle Solution

While exploring the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Rygjafylke region (specifically the mountain west of Fornburg), you’ll come across a wooden cabin where you’ll need to retrieve a Carbon Ingot by solving the Scorched Paper Puzzle.

This is one of those Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Collectibles that require a lot of attention because if you don’t do that, chances are you’ll get stuck for quite some time trying to figure out how to get inside the said cabin.

Why is that?

Well, because for this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Carbon Ingot, you’ll have to solve a little puzzle.

The good thing is that the video game offers you the solution.

The bad thing is that you have to find it because this solution comes as a note. Or on a piece of paper. A Scorched Paper.

But if you are stuck, we will solve this enigma together and also claim the Carbon Ingot in the process.

How to Get AC Valhalla Rygjafylke Mountain Ingot Wealth Near Fornburg?

So, the first thing we are going to do is to locate the house and the mountain Ingot or collectible if you want.

As you can see on my map below, it is located west of Fornburg and east of the Alpha Animal you’ll need to kill.

We’ll get to that in another guide, though.

The said cabin is in the mountain. It is a solitary place and quite scary if you ask me. You can also see it below.

Scorched Paper

Now, after you find the wooden cabin, most likely, you’ll try to get the Wealth collectible inside.

Except that is not that easy, because the path is blocked by a shelf, you can try to move.

But you won’t succeed because something blocks it.

Ok? How do we make it move?

Well, the answer to this question is offered by the Scorched Paper mentioned above. You’ll find it in the other room on a table near the bed.

Pick it up, and you’ll see the following lines:

“Those Fools from Fornburg said I was mad, but they will fall before Kjotve’s Blade! My hoard is hidden and safe. Ha! They will have to walk through fire to get it!”

Right, so where is the hint? Or what is the hint?

Fire. Fire is the hint you’ll have to rely on in order to get the Carbon Ingot in the mountain cabin.

How To Solve The Wooden Cabin Puzzle?

Good then, so what should you do?

The goal here is to clear the path for the shelf in the other room by burning whatever is blocking it.

So, while standing in the room with the bed, turn around, and you’ll see a wooden wall.

Here you have two options.

You can lob your torch over the wooden wall and wait for it to burn whatever stands in front of the shelf.

The second method is easier, but you’ll need arrows.

Simply shoot the lamp on the ceiling, but aim for the chain, as you can see in the following screenshot.

Once you do that, you should see some flames.

Now, if you go around the house, you’ll notice that the shelf won’t move.

What you need to do at this point is to wait.

After several seconds you’ll hear a sound which means that the object near the shelf was destroyed.

Now push the object to get inside and loot the chest.
