In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Merec is an NPC you’ll meet in the Sciropescire region, and his Lost Brooch is a quest item you’ll need to find if you wish to complete another World Event named Lamb Chops. Merec’s Lost Brooch is the objective or your goal for completing the said mystery, which is pretty simple.
To help Merec, you need to find his brooch, but the problem is that a sheep ate the brooch in question. And no, you can’t kill the sheep if that’s what you want to do. So, it’s a simple puzzle. How do you extract a brooch from a living sheep without killing it and without turning the sheep into a kebab?
AC Valhalla Lamb Chops World Event Location
Before answering the question above, let’s locate our quest giver or Merec. On my map below, you can see that he is located on the north-western side of Sciropescire. He is pretty easy to find, especially because he is close to the Afon Hafren River. The first goal here is to find him and his sheep farm. You’ll have a blast with this one, trust me.
Where To Find the Sheep Brooch
Good, so now that you found Merec, talk to him, and he’ll tell you he lost a brooch, which is quite important to him. And back to our dilemma. The brooch is inside a sheep because, yes, sheep eat everything. And you are not allowed to kill the sheep. Funny right? Yes, it’s funny and smelly at the same time. So, let’s recover the lost brooch—the natural way. After you talk to Merec, scan the area for some hay.
Pick it up (carry it) and place it close to the sheep. Can you guess what happens next? Yeah, they poop, and as the mighty Viking that you are, you’ll have to check every pile of sheep poop until you find that brooch. The good thing is that you’ll find various trinkets you can sell.
The bad thing is that the location is random, which means that you’ll have to search every pile of sheep poop until you find it, just like I did in the following image.
Keep searching until you find the brooch, then return it to Merec. He’ll wash it, but your hands will still smell for quite some time now.
