Flight Test is a Hogwarts Legacy side quest that will put your broom flying skills to the test because you have to finish the Quidditch pitch Broom Trial pretty fast. You’ll have to beat Imelda Reyes’s best score, who is an arrogant Slytherin witch.
The problem is that you’ve barely learned how to fly using your broom and might find the Trial challenging.
To start this quest, progress through the story until you complete the Flying Class main quest, where you learn how to fly with a broom. Then, you need to find Albie Weekes in Hogsmeade. He is located in his store on the south side of the village, as shown on the following map.
Next, you have to purchase your own broom by choosing from a selection of five in Albie’s shop. Each broom costs 600 Galleons, so we hope you’ve been saving up. If you have the necessary money, choose the broom you think suits you best and accept Albie’s Flight Test side quest.
Where To Find Imelda Reyes at the Quidditch Pitch
Albie wants you to help him perfect the broom upgrades he’s been working on by conducting a broom flight. Thus, he directs you to Imelda Reyes, another Hogwarts student whose best score you must beat at the Quidditch pitch. Finding Imelda and the Quidditch pitch is fairly easy because if you open your map, you’ll see that the location is already tracked. As you can see, you have to go east of Hogwarts Castle, and the fastest way to get there is to use the Hogwarts North Exit Floo Flame in the Bell Tower Wing.
You can also use the Flying Class Lawn Floo Flame or the closest to Quidditch pitch you have unlocked. Once you reach the exact location pointed by the quest tracker, you can spot Imelda near a podium on the pitch.
How To Place in the Quidditch Pitch Broom Trial
After talking to Imelda, you get directly into the time trial. To complete the quest, you have to beat Imelda’s record of 2:20:53 ( 2 minutes and 20 seconds). The trick is to pass through the big rings along the way to the finish line. Each ring you miss will get you a penalty at the end.
Also, you’ll probably see some big yellow bubbles between the rings; if you fly through them, you’ll get a speed boost.
It’s important to remember what you learned in the Flying Class main quest. The left stick on your controller moves you in the direction you want, and the right stick makes you ascend or descend. Equally important to remember is that if you hold R2/RT, you increase the flight speed, and by pressing L3/LS, you toggle flight speed.
