Hogwarts Legacy Hogsmeade Valley is a region located in the northern part of the open world, which features a total of 8 Collection Chests.
The Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chests count as collectibles, so if you want to achieve 100% completion in this region, you must not miss a single one.
From the treasure chests, you can get all sorts of cool rewards like wand handles or conjuration recipes you can use to customize the Room of Requirement in Hogwarts Castle.
However, getting these collectibles can be tricky because you’ll need certain spells for some of them. Also, 2 of the chests can be looted only during or after completing a main quest.
Therefore, throughout the Hogwarts Legacy Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chests guide below, we’ll explain how to get each collectible.
Hogwarts Legacy Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chests Locations Map
First, you can check our Hogsmeade Valley map below because we’ve marked the location of the collectibles on it.
As you can see, all treasure chests are located in the northern part of the region, 4 of them in the Upper Hogsfield hamlet, 2 in Bandit Camps, and 2 in the Overlook Mine.
Now let’s discuss each Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chest in the same order as the one on our map.
Collection Chest #1: On A Rug
For the first chest collectible, make your way to Upper Hogsfield, preferably by fast traveling to the Floo Flame in the hamlet.
You have to enter the first house to the left going on the northern road from the fast travel point.
Hogwarts Legacy Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chest #1 is on the left side of the house, on the rug behind the brown folding screen.
Collection Chest #2: Under A Bookcase
The second Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chest is in the next house on the left side, going north from the previous collectible.
To enter this house, though, you’ll need to use the Alohomora spell, which you unlock after completing The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament main quest.
Now use the spell to pick the level 1 lock and get into the house.
The collectible is under the bookcase behind the wooden wall in front of the door.
Collection Chest #3: Under A Light
Next, you have to get out of the house with Collection Chest #2, go forward, and enter the first house on the left side.
You’ll have to pick another level 1 lock, so cast Alohomora again by interacting with the door.
The third Hogwarts Legacy Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chest is under the light on the right immediately after entering the house.
Collection Chest #4: Next To A Small Table
Upon obtaining the previous collectible, get out of the house and take the left road.
You’ll soon reach a small structure with a wooden wheelbarrow in front of it.
Enter the building to find the next Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chest next to a small table.
Collection Chest #5: In A Tent
The fifth collectible on the list is in a Medium Bandit Camp north of the Upper Hogsfield hamlet, at the location pinpointed on the map above.
The treasure chest is next to a bunk bed inside the only tent in the camp.
Collection Chest #6: Next To Some Crate And Barrels
After opening the previous Hogwarts Legacy Hogsmeade Valley Collection Chest, exit the camp by following the railway to the northeast.
You’ll soon reach another Medium Bandit Camp with Collection Chest #6 next to some crates and barrels in the northern corner of the base.
Collection Chests #7 & 8: In The Overlook Mine
The last 2 Collection Chests are in the Overlook Mine, east of the Bandit Camp containing collectible #6.
However, to enter the mine, you first have to start In The Shadow Of The Mine main quest.
You’ll find Chest #7 on a crate inside the mine.
And Chest #8 can be found next to some bones in the same mine.
