Hogwarts Legacy South Hogwarts Region Astronomy Tables count as collectibles and will get you a step closer to unlocking the Collector’s Edition Trophy/Achievement. Finding several Astronomy Tables in the open world will also get you the Starry-Eyed Seer gear appearance set, which can be claimed from the Exploration tab of the Challenges menu.
It’s very important to remember that the Astronomy Tables can be interacted with only during nighttime. If it’s daytime for you, open your map, press R3/RS (PlayStation/Xbox), then X/A, and like magic, the sun is gone.
Where To Find the Two South Hogwarts Region Astronomy Tables in Hogwarts Legacy
One of the Astronomy Tables in the South Hogwarts Region is found while completing a quest, and the other is north of Hogwarts Castle. The latter is marked on the Hogwarts Legacy map below.
Astronomy Table #1: While Completing the Astronomy Class Main Quest
You’ll find the first South Hogwarts Region Astronomy Table while completing the Astronomy Class main quest, where you meet Amit, who gives you a telescope and teaches you about stargazing.
Astronomy Table #2: On the Edge of a Cliff
As mentioned, you must head north of Hogwarts Castle for the second South Hogwarts Region Astronomy Table. The fastest way to reach the location pinpointed on our map is to fast-travel to the Forbidden Forest Floo Flame, provided you have it unlocked, then head west. Fly high on your Broom to spot the table on the edge of a cliff.
Upon interacting with the table, you must rotate the telescope with R3/RS (PlayStation/Xbox) and zoom out with L2/LT to perfectly align the tool with the constellation. If you’ve zoomed out too much, press R2/RT to zoom in. Also, you can point the telescope with L3/LS if needed.
