Solved By The Bell is one of the few Hogwarts Legacy treasure hunt side quests in which you must find the treasure mentioned in the Musical Map. But before we venture for the treasure, we must obtain the Musical Map first, which can be quite tricky.
Also, before we start the Solved By The Bell Side Quest, make sure you’ve learned the following spells:
- Incendio – learned during Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1
- Glacius – learned during Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 1
- Arresto Momentum – learned during Madam Kogawa’s Assignment 2
All of these are required to solve the puzzles inside Henrietta’s Hideaway. Now, let’s see where we can find the item and how to use the Musical Map to find the treasure during Solved By The Bell Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
Where To Find the Item in Solved by the Bell Side Quest
The valuable item at Henrietta’s Hideaway mentioned in the Solved By The Bell Side Quest refers to the Musical Map mentioned above. Henrietta’s Hideaway can be found in the southernmost part of Manor Cape Region, under Merlin’s Trial. We’ve marked the location on the map below.
Also, it is recommended to start The Hippogriff Marks The Spot Side Quest covered here first if you want to pick another treasure hidden inside Henrietta’s Hideaway and hit two birds with one stone. In this area, you will encounter many Dark Wizards between Level 20 and Level 37, so ensure you have good gear and a high level if you’re playing on Normal difficulty.
If you wish to complete the side quest early, you can switch on Story difficulty in the settings, but you still need at least Level 20 to survive. After you reach the marked location and clear the area of enemies, go down the stairs leading below Merlin’s Trial and enter Henrietta’s Hideaway. To progress further, you’ll have to solve a short puzzle involving two cubes.
First, cast Incendio on the brazier in front of the statue to the left. This will activate the statue and reveal a second cube.
Cast Accio on the cube and pull it onto the pedestal next to the other cube. With both cubes on their pedestals, cast Incendio on the left cube and Glacius on the right cube to open the door hidden behind the wall.
Defeat the enemies in the next room, head up the stairs behind and to the left of the Hippogriff statue, and follow the path until you reach a trap floor. This trap floor will suck you into the nearby wall and push you back a couple of steps every time you step on it. So, you must cast the spell Arresto Momentum on the trap floor or the wall and quickly move into the next room.
In the next area, you’ll have to defeat more enemies. After you defeat all the enemies, go beneath the small balcony on the right and enter the secret room through this enchanted wall.
In this secret room, collect the Musical Map off the table to progress Solved By The Bell Side Quest.
How To Use the Musical Map To Find the Treasure
The Music Map shows you the treasure location and a riddle involving bells and musical staff. Each bell has a musical note assigned to a specific staff position, which means you have to hit the bells in the same order mentioned on the musical staff.
The location mentioned in the Musical Map is the Clagmar Castle in the Clagmar Coast Region. We’ve also marked its location in the image below.
After you reach the Clagmar Castle, defeat all the enemies inside. Then, look for the bells on the western part of the Clagmar Castle and hit them by tapping (R2)/(RT) in the same order as in the image below.
After you hit the bells in the order above, a short, familiar melody will play, and the treasure chest will fall right next to you. Open the treasure chest to receive Treasure-Seeker’s Longcoat gear appearance, 400 Galleons, and 180 XP and to complete the Solved By The Bell Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
