Hogwarts Legacy Phoenix Mountain Cave is a dungeon found in the Poidsear Coast region of the latest video game developed by Avalanche Software for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X & S, Xbox One, and PC.

The Phoenix Mountain Cave in Hogwarts Legacy features two Collection Chests you’ll have to find if you aim to achieve 100% completion in the Poidsear Coast area.

Because these Chests are far better than the regular ones scattered around the world, you’ll most likely want to find them the moment you reach this dungeon.

To help you with them, the following Hogwarts Legacy Phoenix Mountain Cave Collection Chests guide reveals their locations, and we’ll tell you where to look for these collectibles and how to get both chests in a single run.

Where To Find The Phoenix Mountain Cave In Hogwarts Legacy

The Phoenix Mountain Cave is found on the northern side of the Poidsear Coast region, as you can see on the following map.

Hogwarts Legacy Phoenix Mountain Cave Location

The cave is located northeast of Poidsear Castle Floo Flame. Chronologically, the Phoenix Mountain Cave is reached while playing the side quest named Phoenix Rising, so it’s recommended to enter the dungeon while tracking the said quest.

That’s because while working on finding the Phoenix for the Phoenix Rising side-quest, you can also retrieve the two Collection Treasure Chests.

Obviously, if you miss them during the first visit, you can return to the dungeon via the Phoenix Mountain Cave Floo Flame at the entrance.

Regardless of when you decide to enter this dungeon, to get the two Collection Chests collectibles, you’ll have to follow the same steps.

Collection Chest #1: Behind A Spider Web

For the first Phoenix Mountain Cave Collection Chest, after you enter the dungeon, follow the linear path ahead and destroy the wooden planks by casting Depulso.

Jump over the gap, and the two small wooden walls, then on the right side, you’ll see a tunnel blocked by spider webs. Burn them with Confringo, then destroy the stone wall with Depulso.

Continue following the tunnel ahead (northwest), and you’ll find another entrance blocked by a spider web. On the right side, you’ll see a warning sign: Beware Spiders.

Burn the web on the left side of the sign; then, while crawling through the hole, you should be able to spot the first Hogwarts Legacy Collection Chest in the Phoenix Mountain Cave behind another spider web.

Next to it, as you can see below, are some cocoons you’ll need to destroy.

Collection Chest #2: In A Side Tunnel

For the second Hogwarts Legacy Phoenix Cave Collection Chest, you’ll have to progress through the whole dungeon. If you need help navigating the Phoenix Cave, refer to our Phoenix Rising walkthrough.

As you explore the dungeon, you’ll eventually reach a larger cave where you’ll have to deal with many Poachers. This cave is the last one you’ll have to clear before finding the Phoenix, so basically, the Collection Chest is close to the exit point.

After you deal with the Poachers, take your time scanning the large cave using Revelio.

The Collection Chest is found in a small side tunnel on the southeastern side of the large cave.

To get to the chest, you’ll have to burn another spider web.

Once you find this chest, follow the main path, and in the next section, you’ll find the Phoenix you need to capture using your Nab-Sack.

Now that you have found both Hogwarts Legacy Phoenix Mountain Cave Collection Treasure Chests remember that they count as part of the 8 Poidsear Coast Collection Chests you’ll need to retrieve to reach 100% completion.
