Hogwarts Legacy Take Biscuit is a side quest in which you’ll help Garnuff, a goblin whose precious Mooncalf was abducted by poachers. Garnuff tried to fight back, but there was only so much a goblin could do especially a not-too-brave one.

As such, you must intervene and save the day again, but be aware that rescuing the Mooncalf can get tricky. To start this side quest, you should know that you first have to finish the Astronomy Class main quest. Then you can go to Hogsmeade and look for Garnuff under the stone bridge on the west part of the village, as shown on the following map.

Now listen to the NPC’s troubles to begin the Take Biscuit quest.

Where To Find The Poacher Camp Where Biscuit Is Held

Upon agreeing to rescue the Mooncalf for the goblin, you have to find the responsible poachers. They are in a small bandit camp up north, on the east side of the North Ford Bog region. You should now have the exact location tracked on your map.

Get as close as possible to the bandit camp by fast traveling to a nearby Floo Flame. Then, follow the quest tracker to cover the rest of the distance. Biscuit is in a big cage inside the camp, along with other Mooncalfs.

How to Rescue Biscuit

Once you enter the bandit camp, you must face some poachers who are level 19 and have shields around them. To break the shields, you have to use spells corresponding to the shields’ colors. It can be a tough fight, especially if you are under level, but we’re sure you’ll pull it through.

When you finish dealing with the mobs, go to the cage to unlock it and free the Mooncalfs. The trick is that the cage has a level 1 lock, which you can open only with Alohomora, a spell you can learn in the Caretakers Lunar Lament main quest.

After casting the spell on the lock (you must be next to it) by pressing the Square/X button on your PlayStation/Xbox controller, you must play a lockpicking mini-game. So, to open the cage and continue with the Take Biscuit side quest, you have to use your left and right sticks to rotate the inner and outer circles.

Take it one circle at a time and rotate it. You must turn the bigger circle until a green light appears on the mechanism in the bottom right corner of your screen. As for the smaller circle, rotate it until a red light appears on the middle mechanism.

Hold the circles in place for around two seconds, and the cage should open. Now you have to identify and catch Biscuit. First, cast the Disillusionment spell to get invisible, thus making it possible to get near the Mooncalfs. You learn Disillusionment in the Secrets of the Restricted Section main quest.

Then, you have to aim at each Mooncalf until you find the one named Biscuit the Mooncalf on the top middle of your screen, like in the following image.

Finally, you must capture the Mooncalf with the Nab-Sack, which you unlock after completing The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom main quest. All that remains to do now is to return to Garnuff and hand over the Mooncalf. If you are low on money, don’t forget to ask the goblin to reward you.
